The draft IHCA Conservation Area Statement consists of four separate volumes:
- VOLUME 1: Conservation Area Statement Summary
- VOLUME 2: Conservation Area Character Overview
- VOLUME 3: Conservation Area Character Parts
- VOLUME 4: Conservation Area Management Proposals SPD
Volume 4 is a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD), forming part of the District’s Local Development Framework. Volumes 1-3 are supporting documents for the SPD and will be adopted in their own right as Supplementary Planning Advice (therefore sitting outside of the Local Development Framework).
Viewing and downloading the draft documents:
It is strongly recommended that you view the draft documents before making comments:
- These can be viewed in PDF format here (and an online survey form appears with each PDF document, which you can use to submit comments)
- They can be downloaded in PDF format from the IHCA review pages of the Council's website: www.stroud.gov.uk/ihca where you can also find further information about the conservation area review and the anticipated timetable for the adoption of the SPD and Conservation Area Statement.
Paper copies are available to view at:

- public libraries in Stroud, Stonehouse, Nailsworth, Minchinhampton
- Parish and Town Council offices at: Stroud, Stonehouse, Cainscross, Nailsworth, Chalford, Rodborough and Minchinhampton.
